MILLIE

"I told him I wanted to be stronger to climb mountains and when carrying my son in the backpack and that's exactly what he focused on"

STARTING POINT

Millie joined the program because she wasn’t interested in quick fixes or short-term weight loss. She wanted to build long-term strength and capability so she could keep climbing mountains, keep up with her boys, and feel in control of her body again.

Before starting, she said:

“I basically did no training and expected my body to perform when asked. I would climb mountains and expect my body to just catch up and push through l, which is fine when you are 20-something, but not so great when you are turning 40.”

She knew something had to change.

12 WEEKS LATER

“In the last 3 months since I have worked with Jon I am now physically stronger and I can feel that in the way my body feels lifting weights and doing the exercises, and also in the way I look. What he asks of me is not overwhelming because he has tailored it specifically to me and therefore I know I can achieve it. This makes it enjoyable and not a chore, because that’s what I wanted. I wanted something that would become a part of my life, not a hindrance in it.”

It’s not about extremes. It’s about building functional fitness and strength to carry over into - parenting, hiking, moving well, showing up with more energy and presence.

“I told him I wanted to be stronger to climb mountains and when carrying my son in the backpack and that’s exactly what he focused on. My legs feel stronger, and I can cope with more running during the week because I am generally fitter. I feel like my body is grateful for the attention and nutrition since I had my children. My aim is to maintain this as a way of life going forward so that as my family grows up, I will be able to keep up.”
